My name is John van Wijk. I'm an Orthopaedic Footwear Technician by profession and the CTO of Orthopaedics at Neskrid. My expertise lies in CAD/CAM projects, specifically focusing on lasts, footbeds, and fitting shoes. I also develop CAD/CAM patterns and contribute to collection development. My extensive knowledge of orthopaedic footwear technology allows me to analyse complex footwear technical challenges and provide effective solutions.

With over 40 years of experience in the orthopaedic footwear industry, I've built a broad range of expertise. This includes entrepreneurship and all facets of the orthopaedic workshop process. I've also held consultations in various hospitals and nursing homes, and I ran my own business, which was sadly destroyed by fire.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and granddaughter, listening to music, and regularly travelling to Spain.
